A phone that drops from 80% to 30% before lunch usually has a reason. The display may be using most of the power, an app may be working in the background, or the phone may be struggling to hold a weak mobile signal.
The right fix starts with the battery report—not a random list of “secret” settings. Check what is using power, then change the setting connected to that problem. Menu names vary between Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola, and iPhone, but the principles are similar.
The fastest ways to save battery today
If you need more battery immediately, start here:
- Reduce screen brightness or enable automatic brightness.
- Shorten the screen timeout.
- Turn off the always-on display if you rarely use it.
